Subject: Fall

Hi Pal, Mom and I are thinking about heading south for the winter. It’s getting pretty cool here, and the kids are busy with school and all that it entails. You know: music lessons, drama club, school newspaper, and other activities. Seems like in the winter there is less time available to hang with mom and me, but that’s how it should be.

This is the time in their lives, when they are most influenced by those they know. We can’t do much about what they see and do in school. We are fortunate that their parents set good examples for them and help them to meet their goals. Their friends and most of their other relatives are also good examples for them. They are lucky to have these people in their lives.

THEN THERE IS YOU, ADAM. You could be a positive influence to so many people, and yet you choose to put forth the persona of a HIGH SCHOOL DROPOUT.

You go on television shows, DRESSED LIKE YOU ARE GOING TO A GYM. You are not showing the proper RESPECT to the HOST or your AUDIENCE. You smoke cigars in spite of our wishes that you stop. I know that someday you will have children of your own, and the SMOKE AND SMELL of those cigars will be unhealthy for them. I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU ARE SO UNCARING about those you love. You are hurting Jackie, Meatball, and all those around you. When Scott comes home from his trips to LA, it takes him a few days to STOP COUGHING BECAUSE OF YOUR HABIT.

You don’t smoke when we are together, so I know you can stop if you want to. NOW IS THE TIME. We all would appreciate it.

As far as your website goes, there are times when I think it is really improving, but then there are other times when I think Nicky is DRINKING TOO MUCH. News about you and your friends is not TIMELY OR THOROUGH. I still get more information from CJ and Ciara at “Adam Sandler’s Place”, than I do from your site. By the way, it wouldn’t hurt to get NICKY A LIGHT TO USE when he shoots those features like “Messages from Adam” or the “Jam Sessions”. Some of these are much too dark. We want to be able to see you and your friends better.

We are quickly approaching the holiday season, and that is always a good time to take stock of yourself and all that surrounds you. I know, I am sometimes hard on you, but that is because I love you, and want only the best for you, your family and friends. Please wish everyone, especially your fans the warmest of greetings from mom and me. We can’t wait to see you this Thanksgiving.
