MTVビデオミュージックアワード（VMA）2005ノミネート発表！本命はグリーンデイ?U2?
[ ABCな映画賞]

gwen_oshime.JPG年に一度のMTVで最大のイベントである「MTVビデオミュージックアワード（VMA）2005」のノミネートが発表された。歴史と権威あるグラミー賞が「音楽性を重視したお堅い音楽賞」とすれば、VMAは「エンターテーメント性重視の、とにかくMTV世代に受けた人気のあるアーティスト・曲によるお祭りイベント」であるだけに、授賞式も楽しみであり、本当の意味で大衆に支持されているノミネート・チョイスかもしれない。

8月28日に昨年と同じマイアミで開催される受賞式の司会は、どうやらDiddyという名前にまたも改名したP・Diddyことショーン・コムズ（ABC振興会的にはおパフさんで）。昨年はコメディアンのジミー・ファロンだったように、例年コメディアンか若手俳優がホストを務めることが多いため、ラッパー兼プロデューサーのおパフさんの単独ホストという今年はちょっと異例かも。

最もノミネートが多かったのは、グリーン・デイ で8部門。続いてグウェン・ステファニーとミッシー・エリオットが各6部門、U2が5部門となっている。

また、最優秀楽曲賞ともいえる「ビデオオブザイヤー」のノミネートされたのは、コールドプレイ、グリーン・デイ、カニエ・ウェスト、スヌープドッグ、グウェン・ステファニーだ。

また、ジェニファー・ロペス、コールドプレイ、新人のザ・キラーズも4部門にノミネートされている。

パフォーマンスが現在のところ予定されているのは、グリーンデイ、カニエ・ウェストとケリー・クラークソン。MTVらしく、リンジー・ローハンがベスト・ポップビデオにノミネートされているが、2003年にマドンナとキスをして話題になったブリトニー・スピアーズは今年は新曲ビデオ「Do Somethin’」を発表したにもかかわらず、ノミネートされていない。


写真は「今年の顔・女性版」になりそうなグウェン・ステファニー。なんでもグウェンは洋服ブランド「LAMB」（(Love Angel Music Baby) の頭文字）をスタートさせるそうですが、デザイナー業は真剣に取り組みたいので、彼女のデザインをバカにしたりしないで欲しいとか。でも、上の写真みたいなオシメ・ルックばっかりだったらちょっとイヤン♪
